One of my favorite things about being a Body Painter and an artist is that  my art can be made to fit into any event or theme as  I can design almost anything I want or at the clients request. For this specific event I was ultra excited to be a part of it because it involved fashion, body paint and my own original designs with different mediums. Nordstrom featured me as an artist hand designing Jo Malone cologne boxes at the counter during the event using watercolor and pen and ink in several different British themes representing Jo Malone London’s new cologne collection, Rain.

In addition I body painted a special top on my model Rachel to match the beautiful floral Spring skirt designed by fashion designer Ted Baker London, which can be found in Nordstrom.  Nordstrom, the well known department store has many different locations and they all hold several events involving their shoppers and VIP customers.  I was included in the Towson Town Center Mall location in Towson, MD and this event they were holding was called, Beauty Trend to introduce Spring 2014 makeup collections and trends by name brands such as Bobby Brown, MAC and Christian Dior.

My fashion model Rachel and I arrived at Nordstrom extra early in the morning as I needed at least 2 – 3 hours to paint her top, although to me there is never enough time. The hours flew by as usual and before we knew it we were quickly applying bright red lipstick and rushing Rachel off  to the professional fashion photo shoot with 80 West Studios. Below you will find some of the stunning images from this shoot and you can enjoy the full album on 80 West Studios or my website at Jen Seidel. As the event began my painted model was placed on a podium in the Jo Malone London area right next to the table where I was starting to design boxes for their customers. Rachel was painted in bright red, pink, yellow, white, green and black to match the Ted Baker London large floral print skirt, looking as if she was wearing a blooming spring one piece dress, while holding a black umbrella showing off black knee high boots by designer Stuart Weitzman. We watched some of the shoppers pass us by with double takes on Rachel as they swiftly made a U-turn to see if she was a real person or a mannequin. To me, this is my favorite part of the event because I love to watch the people who catch the details and beauty right in front of them or watch as they just pass it by. Either way at some point.  they always return with smiles on their faces to get a picture and share their wonderful compliments!
